Love this idea from McCalls Needlework and Crafts 1958-9. Use a frame and fill in with cut pieces of linoleum, add grout to make a festive mosaic. A do r a ble! To read text, click on pop up image. The entire room and her outfit was hand crafted, how cool is that?

ReplyDeleteThis project could be really interesting with some of the linoleum flooring available now - there are so many textures and finishes offered these days that weren't available in 1958-9.
I'm thinking that sweater is darned cute, too.
